Penny Rush MAR originally trained in 2001 in foot reflexology at the Central London School of Reflexology, Covent Garden, London and gained her practitioner’s certificate with the Association of Reflexologists. She also gained specialist certificates for Pre-conceptual care, Pregnancy & Post Natal Care together with a post graduate certificate in Spinal reflexology, all undertaken at the Central London School. In 2003 she met Lone Sorensen and undertook a Neurological Foot reflexology course which then led her to discover to Facial Reflexology Sorensensistem TM. Penny was immediately drawn to this therapy and trained with Lone Sorensen, who over 26 years of research has created this therapy through her work with brain damaged and severely disabled children. Lone has worked worldwide studying and researching with medical experts in Cuba, Japan, Spain and Argentina. In March 2001 she was awarded three honorary awards from the World Health Organisation for her work in Argentina. After working in clinics in Cambridge and Bury St Edmunds Penny has helped to set up a Complementary Health Centre in Ipswich with her colleague and friend Desiree Shelley, a medical herbalist. Wellspring Centre has been running for three years and offers a comprehensive range of complementary therapies. Penny is also a member of the Association of Reflexologists and is fully insured through her professional body. She is also a member of the Children’s Complementary Therapy Network which is based at Birmingham Children’s Hospital whose aim is to gather research information on complementary health for children. |
